Returning for the third consecutive year, the RawHyde Adventure Rider Challenge once again attracted some of America’s most devout adventure riders. The event, staged at the RawHyde center north of Los Angeles between 14 and 17 May, attracted over 200 riders of all abilities for an action-packed weekend.

“In the USA, many people who own GS motorcycles don’t do adventure riding and instead use the bikes for touring, street riding and commuting, which is great, but I wanted to offer them the opportunity to experience the true potential of their machines in a challenging setting,” says Jim Hyde founder of RawHyde Adventures.  “Two years later, the event is growing rapidly in both popularity and stature and has become a regular fixture in America’s motorcycling calendar.” >> read more

David White Races Morton’s G 450 X
Following our last month’s report of Randy Bedeaux of Leo’s South BMW Motorcycles in Lakeville, MN, who has been putting up a great show on the G 450 X, Steve Anderson of Morton’s BMW Motorcycles in Fredericksburg, VA wrote us about his sponsorship of David White, another G 450 X racer.

Steve Anderson reports: “Attached are some photos of David White, a seven-time Hare Scrambles champion in Virginia, aboard the #304 Morton’s BMW-owned and sponsored G 450 X. David has been competing this year in the Virginia Championship Hare Scrambles Series, He’s had an up and down season so far, with a pair of DNFs, but he has led races at times and currently stands ninth in his class (Senior A) with ten races to go. As he gets the bike sorted out, we expect to see him on the podium on his Morton’s BMW.”
