Nick Fahringer Switches to Husaberg FE 570, Finds Comfort
Zone in Wyoming
UPTON, Wy. — After piloting the Husaberg FE 450 for the opening five rounds of the AMA National Enduro Series, Nick Fahringer made a successful switch to the FE 570 for Round 6 with a fifth-place finish.
“I was expecting there was going to be some faster sections, but I was really surprised how tight most of the tests were,” Fahringer said. “I’ve been on the FE 450 for most of the season and my only real experience on the FE 570 was at the 24-Hour Perry Mountain event. I was surprised how well the 570 handled the tighter stuff. It handled as good as the 450 and I gained confidence as the test went on.”
Fahringer had a fairly non-eventful race for his standards, only laying the bike down once coming out of a corner.
“I had a blast flying through the rocks and trees,” he said. “At first I wasn’t pushing it 100 percent because I was unfamiliar with the terrain. The final tests consisted of a lot of tighter stuff and that’s when I was really railing on it.
“I’m looking forward to better results in Montana.”
